FOR ALL STUDENTS INVOLVED IN THE COMENIUS PROJECT.
Being formally proposed in Agenda 21 of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the 22nd of March has been declared the WORLD WATER DAY.
The United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution A/RES/47/193 of 22 December 1992 by which 22 March of each year was declared World Day for Water, to be observed starting in 1993, in conformity with the recommendations of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) contained in Chapter 18 (Fresh Water Resources) of Agenda 21.
World Water Day 2010 activities will aim to communicate messages on water quality, ecosystems and human well-being.
Stockholm University & The Institute of Physical Geography & Quatenary Geology provides an open seminar session on Monday 22nd of March at Aula Magna, 14.30-16.30. 30 places has been booked and we thought that ca 6 students/class could attend and gather insight that may be useful for the project. We will bring this up in class and sort out the details. However, ALL of you should check out the provided pdf-file on Water Quality in Fronter (currently too big of a file for this site).

Have a good one – Ms.Dinnétz
